Monitoring of Studies

Effective management of your GLP and non-GLP studies is essential to avoid delays, unnecessary repetition, data gaps and reporting deficiencies. We develop and support study programmes from the early planning stage through execution and final reporting, with particular attention to regulatory relevance, timing and documentation quality.

We support the scientific and regulatory monitoring of studies, data generation activities and related technical work across a wide range of regulated product areas, including plant protection products, biocides, feed additives, fertilizing products, household detergents and REACH-relevant substances.

We ensure that your studies are performed according to the relevant and latest OECD Test Guidelines, SANCO Guidance Documents or CIPAC methods, amongst others. Tests and analyses are commonly conducted in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

From the early planning stage through study conduct and final reporting, the monitoring team accompanies projects with the aim of reducing risks, avoiding delays and ensuring that generated data can be efficiently integrated into dossiers, submissions and broader compliance strategies.

This includes support with study planning, protocol review, progress tracking, scientific review during study conduct and detailed assessment of draft and final reports. We also help identify critical issues, data gaps or documentation weaknesses at an early stage, allowing corrective action to be taken before they affect timelines or regulatory usability.

Where multiple parties are involved, we facilitate communication between sponsors, laboratories, consultants and regulatory teams to support smooth coordination and transparent information flow. Particular attention is given to the quality, consistency and completeness of study outputs so that they are suitable for downstream use in regulatory documentation and decision-making.

Our approach is proactive, structured and closely aligned with the intended regulatory pathway. By combining scientific understanding with regulatory awareness, we help ensure that data generation activities remain focused, efficient and fit for purpose.

The DHD-Consulting expert team has experience with all standard laboratory and tailored higher tier tests required for the registration of your active ingredient or plant protection product, including:

  • Physical-chemical data
  • Analytical methods
  • Toxicological studies
  • Metabolism and residue trials
  • Testing of the fate and behaviour in the environment
  • Ecotoxicological studies

The monitoring of studies can be a stand-alone project or an integrated part of our full-service offer in combination with data gap anlysis, preliminary risk assessment, dossier preparation and submission.
