About Feed Additives
In livestock production, aquaculture, the equine sector or the pet-food sector, feed additives are important components in animal nutrition.
Feed additives are substances, micro-organisms or preparations (other than feed material and premixtures) that are added to animal feed or water to perform one or more functions, such as technological (improving feed processing, preservation, stability), sensory, nutritional or zootechnical (promotion of performance, gut health, feed utilisation) functions, or as coccidio- and himonostats.
